What is NAD+?
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide coenzyme for cellular-energy and longevity research.
NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a central coenzyme present in every living cell, where it carries electrons in redox reactions. It is studied in the context of mitochondrial bioenergetics, the NAD+/NADH ratio, oxidative phosphorylation, sirtuin and PARP activity, DNA maintenance, cellular ageing, and metabolic and circadian regulation. Third-party tested to 99%+ purity and supplied as a lyophilized powder for laboratory reconstitution. For research purposes only, not for human consumption.

How is NAD+ stored and handled?
Storage
Store lyophilized vials at -20C, protected from light. Once reconstituted, refrigerate at 2-8°C and use within the recommended window.
Reconstitution
Use bacteriostatic water; add slowly down the inside wall of the vial. Swirl to dissolve, never shake. See the in-house peptide calculator for concentration (mg/ml) and syringe units (IU on a U-100 syringe).
For research use only
Not for human or veterinary consumption. Handle in accordance with your institution's laboratory safety protocols.

All research guides- What is NAD+? The coenzyme behind ageing research, explainedNAD+ is a dinucleotide coenzyme that carries electrons in energy metabolism and is consumed by enzymes such as sirtuins, PARPs and CD38. Tissue NAD+ levels declined with age in rodents and humans, and in mice the enzyme CD38 was required for that decline. Randomised human trials of the precursors nicotinamide riboside (NR) and nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) raised NAD+ related metabolites and were generally well tolerated, but effects on function were mixed. NAD+ given directly into the blood has only pilot and retrospective human data, and a 2026 systematic review found no outcome trials of it. Vitality Peps supplies NAD+ for in vitro laboratory research only.9 min read
- How to Store and Handle Research PeptidesLyophilised research peptides are stored in the refrigerator at 2 to 8 °C, or frozen at -20 °C for longer storage, sealed and protected from light. After reconstitution with [bacteriostatic water](/product/bacteriostatic-water-10ml) the solution is kept refrigerated, never shaken, and never refrozen.5 min read
- How to Read a Peptide COA (Certificate of Analysis)A peptide certificate of analysis shows what an independent laboratory found in one specific batch: identity confirmed by mass spectrometry, purity measured by HPLC, and the measured quantity against the labelled amount. Read it by checking the identity result first, then the purity figure and the test date.6 min read

- What your vial should look likeA sealed research peptide vial normally holds a white to off-white lyophilized cake or powder under an intact stopper and crimp cap. Pre-filled pens and nasal spray kits arrive sealed, with their documented appearance on the product page. Appearance never proves identity or purity; the COA for the batch does.4 min read
