Research peptide pens

A pre-filled research pen is a cartridge format: 3 ml of bacteriostatic water that already holds the stated amount of compound, sealed in a reusable pen body. Where a vial arrives as freeze-dried powder that a laboratory has to reconstitute, the pen arrives ready, with the content per pen and the resulting concentration printed on the product page. That removes one preparation step and one source of calculation error, which is the main reason labs choose the format.

Handling in the lab follows a few simple rules. Pens are kept refrigerated on arrival and protected from light, because a compound in solution is far less stable than the dry powder in a vial. The pen takes standard 31G pen needles, which are sold separately in our research supplies, and a fresh needle is fitted for each withdrawal. The dial on the pen moves in fixed increments, so researchers convert the stated concentration into dial units before they start rather than estimating on the bench.

The compounds currently available as pens are a BPC-157 and TB-500 blend, the GLOW70 blend, GHK-Cu, NAD, PT-141 and retatrutide. Several of them are also sold as vials, which lets a lab compare the two formats for the same compound. Content and concentration differ between pens, so always read the figures on the individual product page instead of carrying them over from another pen.
